Manattan Gents Salon in Al Reem Island, Abu Dhabi is looking for an experienced Cashier to manage front-desk cashiering and payment operations for a busy gents salon. This role is central to the customer experience, combining accurate financial handling with friendly, professional service at the point of contact.
The successful candidate will be responsible for processing daily transactions, maintaining accurate cash and sales records, and supporting smooth coordination between customers and salon staff. This is a hands-on, service-oriented position suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment while staying precise and organised with financial records.
Ideal Candidate
- Has at least 2 years of cashiering experience, ideally within a salon, barbershop, or similar service environment.
- Comfortable operating POS systems and handling cash, card, and other payment methods with accuracy.
- Detail-oriented, with a reliable approach to daily cash reconciliation and record-keeping.
- Presents a friendly, professional demeanor and communicates clearly with customers and colleagues.
- Able to stay composed and efficient during busy periods, including weekends and public holidays when required.

Responsibilities
Greet customers and handle cashiering duties in a friendly and professional manner.
Process cash, card, and other payment transactions accurately.
Issue receipts and maintain accurate daily sales records.
Handle cash, including counting, balancing, and preparing daily cash reports.
Manage POS transactions and ensure all sales are properly recorded.
Assist with appointment bookings and customer inquiries when required.
Coordinate with barbers and salon staff regarding customer services and payments.
Monitor and record product sales and assist with basic inventory checks.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier/reception area.
Handle customer concerns professionally and refer complex issues to the supervisor or manager.
Perform daily cash reconciliation and report any discrepancies immediately.
Follow company policies, procedures, and salon standards at all times.
Requirements
Previous experience as a cashier, preferably in a salon, barbershop, or similar environment.
Good knowledge of POS systems and cash handling.
Basic knowledge of sales, payments, and daily cash reconciliation.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work accurately and handle cash responsibly.
Basic English communication skills.
Friendly, professional, and well-presented.
Able to work under pressure in a busy salon environment.
Basic computer skills.
Good attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Flexible to work on weekends and public holidays, if required.
