Job Description
Federal Properties Limited is hiring an experienced Plumber/Pipe Fitter to join its facility maintenance team on Al Reem Island, Abu Dhabi. This role is suited to a hands-on professional who can carry out plumbing and pipe fitting works across residential and commercial buildings, ensuring water supply, drainage, and sanitary systems remain fully functional and well maintained.
The successful candidate will handle a mix of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, including installation, repair, and replacement of pipes, valves, fittings, pumps, and water tanks. The role also involves diagnosing and resolving leaks, blockages, and other plumbing faults, while responding promptly to emergency breakdowns to minimise disruption to building operations.
Working closely with the Facility Management (FM) team and other maintenance technicians, the Plumber/Pipe Fitter will follow technical drawings and layouts, maintain accurate maintenance records, and uphold health, safety, and quality standards throughout all plumbing works.
Ideal Candidate
- Has at least 3 years of hands-on experience as a Plumber or Pipe Fitter in residential and commercial buildings.
- Brings practical knowledge of water supply, drainage, and sanitary piping systems, including hot and cold water lines.
- Is skilled in pipe cutting, threading, fitting, joining, and replacement using standard plumbing tools and equipment.
- Can identify and resolve leaks, blockages, and damaged fittings efficiently and safely.
- Is comfortable working within a Facility Management setup and coordinating with other maintenance staff.
- Is physically fit, safety-conscious, and able to attend to different areas of the property as required.
- Ideally has UAE experience in property or building maintenance and is available to join immediately.

Responsibilities
Perform plumbing and pipe fitting works in residential and commercial buildings.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of plumbing and piping systems.
Install, repair, replace, and maintain water supply, drainage, and sanitary piping systems.
Identify and repair water leaks, pipe blockages, damaged pipes, valves, and fittings.
Maintain hot and cold water lines, water tanks, pumps, valves, and drainage systems.
Perform pipe cutting, threading, fitting, joining, and replacement as required.
Attend to emergency plumbing breakdowns and maintenance requests promptly.
Conduct regular inspections and identify potential plumbing issues.
Troubleshoot plumbing problems and provide appropriate solutions.
Follow plumbing drawings, layouts, and technical instructions.
Coordinate with other technicians and the Facility Management (FM) team during maintenance works.
Ensure all plumbing works are completed safely, properly, and according to required standards.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.
Complete maintenance reports and update the supervisor on completed and pending works.
Follow company health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Perform other plumbing and maintenance duties assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience as a Plumber / Pipe Fitter.
Previous experience working in residential and commercial buildings is required.
Experience in Facility Management (FM) and building maintenance is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of plumbing, pipe fitting, water supply, drainage, and sanitary systems.
Experience in installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plumbing and piping systems.
Knowledge of hot and cold water lines, drainage pipes, valves, pumps, and water tanks.
Ability to identify and repair water leaks, pipe blockages, damaged fittings, and plumbing faults.
Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance in buildings.
Ability to attend emergency plumbing breakdowns and respond quickly to maintenance requests.
Able to use common plumbing and pipe-fitting tools and equipment safely.
Basic ability to read plumbing layouts, drawings, and technical instructions.
Knowledge of health, safety, and facility maintenance procedures.
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a maintenance/FM team.
Physically fit and willing to work on-site and attend different areas of the property as required.
UAE experience in property/building maintenance or facility management is an advantage.
