Job Description
Operon Middle East Limited is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Cleaning Supervisor to oversee daily cleaning operations across assigned facilities in Dubai, UAE. This role is responsible for ensuring consistently high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and service quality, while leading a multicultural cleaning team through clear direction, training, and performance monitoring.
As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will coordinate work schedules, allocate duties, and ensure that all cleaning activities are carried out in line with approved SOPs, checklists, and client expectations. You will conduct regular inspections across offices, common areas, washrooms, corridors, lobbies, and external areas to maintain service quality, and ensure that cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment are used safely and correctly.
Beyond day-to-day supervision, you will play a key role in staff development by training, guiding, and motivating team members, conducting toolbox talks, and reinforcing safety and operational standards. You will also maintain accurate records related to attendance, inspections, consumables, and incidents, and respond promptly to client requests or service issues, escalating maintenance or safety concerns as needed.
This position requires close coordination with Facility Managers, operations teams, maintenance personnel, and client representatives to ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient facility operations, including support for periodic deep-cleaning and special projects when required.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience supervising cleaning or housekeeping teams within facilities management, commercial, hospitality, residential, healthcare, or retail environments. They bring strong leadership and organizational skills, a solid understanding of cleaning standards, safety practices, and chemical handling, and the ability to manage a diverse workforce while maintaining professional communication with clients and site representatives. Candidates who are detail-oriented, hands-on, and comfortable working shifts, weekends, and public holidays as operational needs require will be well suited to this role.

Responsibilities
*Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning activities across assigned facilities and areas.
*Allocate duties, work schedules, and cleaning assignments to housekeeping and cleaning staff.
*Ensure all cleaning activities are completed according to approved schedules, SOPs, checklists, and client standards.
*Conduct regular inspections to monitor cleanliness, hygiene, presentation, and service quality.
*Supervise cleaning of offices, common areas, washrooms, corridors, lobbies, external areas, and other designated facilities.
*Ensure cleaning chemicals, tools, machinery, and equipment are used correctly and safely.
*Monitor the availability and appropriate use of cleaning materials, consumables, PPE, and equipment.
*Maintain accurate records of attendance, cleaning activities, inspections, consumables, equipment, and incidents.
*Train, guide, motivate, and evaluate cleaning staff to maintain consistent service standards.
*Conduct toolbox talks and communicate daily tasks, safety requirements, and operational instructions to team members.
*Ensure proper waste collection, segregation, handling, and disposal procedures are followed.
*Respond promptly to client requests, complaints, and service issues and take appropriate corrective action.
*Report maintenance defects, damages, safety hazards, equipment breakdowns, and other facility concerns to the relevant department.
*Coordinate with Facility Managers, Operations teams, maintenance personnel, and client representatives as required.
*Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, grooming, uniforms, discipline, and overall professional conduct.
*Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety procedures.
*Support periodic deep-cleaning, special cleaning projects, events, and additional service requirements.
*Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, hygiene standards, client requirements, and applicable UAE workplace practices.
*Prepare daily and periodic reports and provide operational updates to management.
*Carry out any other cleaning and soft-services duties assigned by management.
Requirements
*Diploma or relevant qualification is an advantage.
*Minimum 2-5 years of experience in cleaning supervision, housekeeping, soft services, or facilities management.
*Previous UAE experience in facilities management, commercial cleaning, hospitality, residential, healthcare, retail, or similar environments is highly preferred.
*Proven experience supervising and managing a multicultural cleaning workforce.
*Good knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, machinery, equipment, hygiene standards, and housekeeping procedures.
*Strong understanding of cleaning schedules, checklists, SOPs, inspections, and quality control.
*Good knowledge of workplace health and safety practices and safe chemical handling.
*Strong leadership, team management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
*Ability to plan workloads, prioritize tasks, and meet service deadlines.
*Good customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with clients and site representatives.
*Basic to good English communication skills; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an advantage.
*Good computer skills, particularly MS Excel and basic reporting, are preferred.
*Physically fit and willing to remain hands-on when required.
*Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overtime according to operational requirements.
