Job Description
ServeU Facilities Management is recruiting an A/C Technician (MEP) to join its technical maintenance team in Dubai, UAE. The role centres on keeping air-conditioning and associated MEP systems running efficiently across assigned facilities, supporting occupant comfort and meeting site safety standards.
The technician will handle the installation, operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of these systems. Day-to-day work combines planned maintenance schedules with prompt responses to breakdowns and emergency requests, so the role suits someone who is comfortable moving between routine servicing and urgent fault-finding.
What the Role Involves
Working alongside MEP technicians, supervisors, contractors and other facility teams, the successful candidate will support a range of HVAC equipment, including split, package, FCU and AHU units. Accurate record-keeping, adherence to company HSE policies and client requirements, and clear reporting of technical issues to the supervisor are important parts of the job.
Ideal Candidate
The employer is looking for a practical, reliable technician with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role. Candidates with a background in UAE facilities management, building maintenance or large-scale facilities will be well placed to settle in quickly. The role suits someone who:
- has solid hands-on knowledge of HVAC and air-conditioning systems, including refrigeration and basic HVAC electrical controls;
- works safely, communicates clearly and collaborates well within a team;
- is punctual, service-oriented and flexible enough to cover shifts, weekends, public holidays and emergency call-outs when needed.

Responsibilities
*Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of air-conditioning and HVAC systems.
*Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain split, package, FCU, AHU, and other HVAC equipment as applicable.
*Diagnose electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and control-related faults in A/C systems.
*Check and maintain compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, fans, filters, thermostats, valves, and related components.
*Perform refrigerant charging, recovery, leak detection, and pressure testing in accordance with approved procedures.
*Conduct routine inspections and ensure HVAC systems operate efficiently and reliably.
*Respond promptly to A/C breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests.
*Carry out basic electrical checks related to HVAC equipment, including motors, controls, connections, and circuit components.
*Replace defective components and carry out minor repairs as required.
*Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, faults, spare parts, and completed work orders.
*Follow preventive maintenance schedules and complete assigned work orders within required timelines.
*Coordinate with MEP technicians, supervisors, contractors, and other facility teams when required.
*Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
*Follow company HSE policies, client requirements, and applicable UAE safety procedures.
*Report major technical issues, equipment defects, and material requirements to the supervisor.
*Perform other HVAC/MEP maintenance duties as assigned.
Requirements
*Proven experience as an A/C Technician, HVAC Technician, MEP Technician, or similar role.
*Relevant experience in facilities management, building maintenance, commercial properties, residential buildings, hospitality, or large-scale facilities is preferred.
*Strong practical knowledge of HVAC and air-conditioning systems.
*Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance and HVAC troubleshooting.
*Knowledge of refrigeration systems, refrigerant handling, and basic HVAC electrical controls.
*Ability to read basic technical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance instructions.
*Familiarity with BMS-controlled HVAC systems is an advantage.
*Relevant technical/vocational qualification or certification in HVAC, refrigeration, or MEP is preferred.
*Good understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
*Physically fit and comfortable working in different site conditions, including confined or elevated areas where required.
*Good communication and teamwork skills.
*Reliable, punctual, hardworking, and service-oriented.
*Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and respond to emergency maintenance requirements when necessary.
*Candidates with UAE facilities management experience are preferred.
