Job Description
NCC Catering Dubai is looking for an experienced and safety-conscious Heavy Duty Driver to operate a 7-ton manual transmission truck in support of catering and logistics operations across Dubai and the wider UAE. This role plays a key part in ensuring that food products, catering supplies, equipment, and other essential materials move efficiently and safely between central kitchens, warehouses, client sites, outlets, and delivery points.
The successful candidate will be entrusted with the safe, timely, and hygienic transportation of goods, following approved routes and schedules while maintaining full compliance with UAE traffic laws and road safety standards. Beyond driving, the role involves vehicle upkeep, cargo handling, documentation, and close coordination with kitchen, warehouse, dispatch, and logistics teams to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities
*Safely operate and drive the company’s 7-ton manual transmission truck for scheduled deliveries and logistics operations.
*Transport food products, catering supplies, ingredients, equipment, utensils, and other materials to designated locations.
*Ensure timely collection and delivery of goods according to approved schedules and assigned routes.
*Plan and follow efficient delivery routes while complying with UAE traffic laws and road safety regulations.
*Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including tyres, brakes, lights, fluids, steering, and other safety components.
*Maintain the assigned vehicle in a clean, safe, hygienic, and roadworthy condition.
*Ensure catering and food items are handled, loaded, secured, and transported appropriately to maintain product quality and hygiene.
*Assist with loading and unloading goods and ensure cargo is properly secured to prevent damage during transportation.
*Verify delivery notes, invoices, dispatch documents, and other transportation paperwork.
*Obtain delivery confirmations, signatures, or acknowledgements from receiving personnel where required.
*Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, deliveries, and vehicle condition.
*Report vehicle defects, breakdowns, accidents, delays, traffic incidents, or other operational issues immediately to the Transport Supervisor.
*Coordinate effectively with kitchen, warehouse, dispatch, logistics, and operations teams.
*Communicate professionally with clients, site representatives, and receiving personnel during deliveries.
*Follow company procedures relating to food safety, hygiene, vehicle security, health and safety, and transportation.
*Ensure all cargo is handled responsibly and delivered in the correct quantity and condition.
*Monitor basic vehicle requirements and coordinate servicing, repairs, and preventive maintenance when necessary.
*Support additional transportation and logistics duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
*Must hold a Valid UAE Heavy Vehicle Driving License appropriate for operating a 7-ton truck is mandatory.
*Proven experience operating 7-ton trucks or similar heavy commercial vehicles.
*Minimum 3 years of relevant heavy-duty driving experience, preferably within the UAE.
*Previous experience in catering, food distribution, FMCG, logistics, hospitality, or commercial delivery operations will be highly advantageous.
*Strong knowledge of Dubai and UAE roads, highways, industrial areas, and major delivery locations.
*Good understanding of UAE traffic laws, road safety requirements, and defensive driving practices.
*Experience handling delivery documentation, trip sheets, invoices, and proof-of-delivery records.
*Ability to safely load, unload, secure, and transport different types of cargo.
*Physically fit and capable of assisting with loading and unloading when required.
*Good time management and ability to meet strict delivery schedules.
*Reliable, punctual, disciplined, and responsible with a strong safety mindset.
*Basic English communication skills are required; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an advantage.
*Professional appearance and courteous customer-service approach.
*Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, public holidays, overtime, and extended hours according to operational requirements.
*Candidates currently in the UAE and available for immediate joining will be preferred.
