Job Description
NCC Catering is looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Light Duty Driver to operate a 3-ton manual transmission truck in support of catering and logistics operations across Dubai and the wider UAE. This role plays a key part in ensuring that food products, catering supplies, equipment, and related materials move safely and on schedule between kitchens, client sites, outlets, warehouses, and other designated delivery points.
The successful candidate will be entrusted with the safe handling and timely delivery of goods, following assigned routes and schedules while adhering to UAE traffic laws and road safety standards. Beyond driving, the role involves vehicle inspections, basic upkeep of the assigned truck, accurate documentation of trips and deliveries, and clear communication with kitchen teams, warehouse staff, dispatch coordinators, supervisors, and client representatives.
This position suits someone who takes pride in punctuality, discipline, and professionalism, and who understands the importance of maintaining hygiene and quality standards when transporting food and catering items.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate holds a valid UAE Manual Driving License No. 3 and brings at least three years of hands-on experience driving 3-ton trucks or similar light-duty commercial vehicles, ideally within the UAE. Familiarity with Dubai’s roads, industrial zones, residential areas, and common delivery routes is important, as is a solid understanding of UAE traffic regulations and safe driving practices.
- Background in catering, food distribution, FMCG, logistics, hospitality, or delivery services is a strong advantage.
- Comfortable handling delivery documentation, trip sheets, and basic vehicle records.
- Physically capable of assisting with loading and unloading goods.
- Dependable, well-organized, and able to consistently meet delivery timelines.
- Presents a professional appearance with a customer-focused attitude.
- Basic English communication skills are required, with Arabic or other languages considered a plus.
- Open to rotating shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overtime as operational needs require.

Responsibilities
*Safely operate and drive the company’s 3-ton manual transmission truck for daily deliveries and logistics activities.
*Transport prepared food, catering supplies, ingredients, equipment, utensils, and other assigned materials to client sites and designated locations.
*Ensure timely collection and delivery of goods according to assigned schedules and routes.
*Plan and follow efficient delivery routes while complying with UAE traffic laws and road safety regulations.
*Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including tyres, brakes, lights, fluids, and other safety components.
*Maintain the cleanliness, hygiene, and good operating condition of the assigned vehicle.
*Ensure food and catering items are handled, loaded, secured, and transported appropriately to maintain quality and hygiene standards.
*Assist with loading and unloading goods while ensuring proper handling to prevent damage or loss.
*Verify delivery notes, invoices, dispatch documents, and other relevant paperwork before and after deliveries.
*Obtain signatures or delivery confirmations from clients and receiving personnel where required.
*Report vehicle defects, breakdowns, accidents, delays, or other issues promptly to the Transport Supervisor or management.
*Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, deliveries, and vehicle-related activities.
*Coordinate professionally with kitchen teams, warehouse personnel, dispatch teams, supervisors, clients, and site representatives.
*Maintain a courteous and professional attitude when interacting with customers and client representatives.
*Ensure all delivered goods are handled according to company procedures and food safety requirements.
*Follow company policies relating to vehicle use, health and safety, hygiene, security, and delivery procedures.
*Support additional transportation and logistics duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
*Must hold a Valid UAE Manual Driving License No. 3 is mandatory.
*Proven experience driving 3-ton trucks or similar light-duty commercial vehicles.
*Minimum 3 years of relevant driving experience, preferably in the UAE.
*Previous experience in catering, food distribution, FMCG, logistics, hospitality, or delivery operations will be highly advantageous.
*Good knowledge of Dubai roads, major routes, industrial areas, residential areas, and delivery locations.
*Strong knowledge of UAE traffic laws and safe driving practices.
*Experience with delivery documentation, trip sheets, and basic vehicle records.
*Physically fit and able to assist with loading and unloading goods.
*Good time management and ability to meet delivery schedules.
*Reliable, punctual, disciplined, and responsible.
*Basic English communication skills are required; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an advantage.
