Job Description
Power Shade Electromechanical is looking for an Electrician to install, maintain, inspect and repair electrical systems, wiring, equipment and fixtures. The role centres on keeping electrical installations safe and in good working order, with all work completed to company standards and applicable electrical regulations.
The salary range for this position is AED 2,000 to AED 3,500.
About the Role
Day to day, you will handle a mix of installation, fault-finding and upkeep. You will work on wiring, lighting, switches, sockets and other electrical equipment, and carry out routine inspections to spot faults and potential hazards before they develop into larger problems. When issues arise, you will be expected to diagnose them and restore normal operation efficiently.
Technical documentation is part of the job. You will work from electrical drawings, diagrams and plans, and keep records of repairs, inspections and maintenance. Larger faults and safety concerns should be passed to your supervisor promptly, and your work area should be kept clean, organised and safe throughout.
Ideal Candidate
This role suits an electrician who takes a careful, safety-first approach and is comfortable using electrical tools and testing equipment. Previous experience as an Electrician is preferred, though the role is open to candidates with a high school diploma or a relevant technical qualification in electrical work. A solid grasp of wiring, electrical systems and troubleshooting is important, as is the ability to read technical drawings.
You should communicate clearly, solve problems methodically, and be equally comfortable working independently or as part of a team. Knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures is expected, along with any relevant electrical certification or licence where required.
