How to Stand Out When You Apply
- Tailor your CV to the role. For receptionist or admin jobs, put your communication, computer (Word, Excel, email) and organisation skills near the top. Our UAE CV format guide shows what employers expect.
- Be clear about your visa status and availability. Employers often ask early whether you are already in the UAE, what visa you hold and when you can join. Answer honestly.
- List languages you speak. Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, Tagalog, Russian or other languages can be a real advantage in customer-facing roles in Dubai.
- Prepare for a video or walk-in interview. Many front-desk and office roles start with a short call or video interview. Read our online interview tips and what to wear to a UAE job interview.
- Read the offer before you accept. Check salary, working hours, leave and job title against your offer letter and labour contract. See what a UAE job offer letter should include.
Your Rights as a Working Woman in the UAE
The UAE Labour Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021) applies to women and men in the private sector. Two points in Article 4 are especially useful to know:
- Equal pay. The law states that women receive the same wage as men for the same work, or for work of equal value.
- No discrimination. The law prohibits discrimination in employment on grounds including sex, and says female workers are covered by all its provisions, in addition to rights specific to women such as maternity leave.
For leave entitlements, read our guide to maternity and paternity leave in UAE. For working time and overtime, see working hours in UAE.
Watch Out for Fake Job Offers
Job Vista UAE never charges candidates to apply, attend an interview or receive an offer. Be careful if anyone asks you to pay for a visa, “processing” or a guaranteed job, asks for your passport or bank details before a real interview, or wants to meet somewhere other than a genuine business address.

Female Jobs in Dubai: Common Questions
Do I need UAE experience to get these jobs?
Not always. Many receptionist, office assistant, cashier and customer service vacancies accept candidates with experience from other countries, and some accept freshers. Good communication and computer skills often matter more than where you worked before.
Can I work if I am on my family’s or husband’s visa?
You still need a valid work permit to work for a private-sector employer. Ask the employer how they will handle your work permit before you start, and do not begin working without it.
Where are most of these jobs located?
